You're really going to have to start a craze to get kids into riding street with box bars. Of course, those bars would probably bend in 3 minutes of street...which is cool, because you could sell them by the case. Or by the bale, which I suppose is how they came...

"THE BARS"
I needed some bars
and I needed em' bad
the Bay had none
I thought I'd been had
An ad in the paper
Said bars for sale
so I called the number
and said what the hell
I got to his house
and saw this huge stack
it was nothing but bars
is this guy on crack?????
After we talked
he seemed to be a nice fellow
I picked up ONE pair
cause I wanted the yellow
He looked at me funny
with a smirk on his mouth
suddenly I knew
this deal was goin' south
I pulled out a twenty
to be on my way
with a big wide smile
he asked me to stay
C'mon in.......
and let's have a drink
just bring yor checkbook
and he gave a small wink
so I went inside
and after my last shot
feeling pretty cocky
I asked, How about the whole lot?????
I slept like a log
I was still seeing stars
A check was missing
Had I bought all those bars?????
I tried to remember
and said oh %$^*
cause I looked outside
It was a delivery truck!!!!
I ran outside
to get a close look
the door on the truck raises
I knew I'd been took
Nothin' but bars
some yellow some red
I stood there screaming
as the driver held his head
I finally calmed down
and wiped away tears
pointed to the driveway
and said, just put em' here.

only have red and yellow, thats it. but the degrees of condition vary, so you could powder them any color you want really. all are guaranteed NOS though, like that means anything anymore, lol.
all VBMX members can have them for $30 per box (10 bars in a box) shipped anywhere in the 48 states. for those of you beyond our borders, only pay $10 over cost of shipping! right now i am not breaking up boxes or bundles. besides, at $12+ to ship a single bar, it makes more sence to buy them this way.

I think these were your standard mid to late 70's mild steel style bars that let you slide the goosneck past the crossbar. Mine came in a flat black finish. I do like the red and yellow for some vintage builds.

They work with the ashtabula or schwinn necks. I got 4 each of the red and blue and I though I went overboard.
