I'm pleased to announce that VintageBMX has worked with SE Bikes and Todd Lyons to produce a full line of authorized SE Racing decals and other products for old school SE restoration projects.
We are in the pre-production and when they get closer to production release, more details will be announced.
If you've seen our authorized Mongoose Motomag decals, you'll know that the quality will be top notch.
Any questions, please contact me at bill@vintagebmx.com

Well done TL. Well done Vintage.

Yes indeedy, it's official. VintageBMX has the ONLY authorized rights to produce and SELL SE Racing decals. There will be a continuous relationship with SE and VintageBMX.
The decals and other products will be top-notch. Will they be available tomorrow? No. Next week? No. Let me state again that the quality WILL be top notch. This will take bit of time. They won't be rushing to Art29's bubble jet ink printer and whipping up a batch.
Please be a bit patient. All good things come to those who wait.
Once again, thanks to all of the guys out there who have been behind SE for decades! You guys rule.

Hello again Todd.
Great news and fair play to you for being so dialled to the VBMX community. As I mentioned in the all-out dogfight that was the last thread on this subject, after considering both sides of the argument in a little more depth I can completely see why you've taken the action you have. Let's face it, almost all would have taken exactly the same action in your position and quite rightly so.
I'll wager that not even you would have realised that repop SE stuff could create that much of a furore though. Proof indeed that there's an awful lot of emotion and love wrapped up in SE products, which is a great thing indeed and something that most brands would give their eye teeth for. I'm sure you'll make a damned good job of them.
Keep us posted!

Wow. Compliments from one of the English guys? Cool. I think when everyone takes a step back and looks at the whole picture, they relize that this is better for everybody. The old-school collectors, SE, the new consumers, everybody. And I think everyone knew that it would eventually happen. It had to hppen. And now it has happened. It's a new era for SE Bikes and the riders. The new official line of "SE Racing" stuff. This could grow into something...

I've got another idea that'd sell like wildfire...make a modern looptail PK. With old-school graphics, 990 mounts and 1 1/8 threadless. Ohhhh yeah!

Agentheinz, I was thinking the exact same thing this morning in the shower (I'm not ate up, am I?) SE has the PK Ripper, PK Ripper Team, mini Ripper, Ripper Jr, and now the Ripper X. Maybe a "PK Ripper Classic" for 07 like the Kappa PK20's. all new school comfort with the Looptail look??? Todd, give OM a call and get on this this afternoon, after you and Bill make all the decals, pads and patches this morning

I think it's great that the two have combined efforts to make this possible. My hat's off to you guys.
I just hope this doesn't interfere with the Mongoose decals that so many of us are and have been waiting for?
May have to go out after a Floval now....

Hey Todd and VBMX Gods. Once you get rolling on the decals and first gen pads, any chance you could look at making a run of second gen SE pads, the ones from 85ish to the mid 90's before the 98-99 logo change? Pretty please with sugar on top???

I knew if I held out on stickers for my PK something good would happen. Now I wish I did not buy some repro pads.

Quick question. Will the SE dealers be able to get ahold of decal sets. Or will we have to buy them from vintage too? Either way, it don't matter to me. I just want to get them.

This is great news. Todd, how about an 07 PK looptail or quad from back in the day. I believe with the following that SE has, you would be hard pressed to keep up on the demand of these two bikes. It would be a win for SE and for those of us who would love to have a new ride with all the bells and whistles from BITD. What do you think?

Feb 8 2006, 07:55 PM
To follow in the footsteps of Redline and Mongoose, its natural for SE to do a looptail PK limited edition kit or full bike. I dont know if they have the stomach for it as it would take some real creative thinking and the balls to pull it off.

I can tell ya this: I've never worn a tie in my life.
I can't guarantee anything, but it's definitely on my radar.
I'm sure you guys on Vintage will be the first to know. But like I said, I'm not guaranteeing anything. But, we'll see... (stay tuned)
