I know I caught some flack for the Black and Purple Moose. I hope this one is better.Just finished it today.

The black and purple was awesome! Good for you for doing somthing out of the norm, I'm not a big fan of the moose, I got the huffy version when i was a kid and was totally p*ssed. I wanted a redline. Its cool that you are restoring all these classics! By the way this one is sweet!! Do you have any more DX posts? i've been looking for a while with no luck.

the gold motomags were sold. I decided to use that one as a donor frameset for the Black and Purple one.
I do have plans for another one with Motomags this summer.

I like it....have to admit I wasn't a big fan of the black/purple one....but hey, a Moose is a Moose.

I have a scan of some decals if you want them? They are on decal backing,just trim and peel and you will have some thing on it til the reproductions come available.

Here are 5 my Moose's and my Two-Four cruiser.. I have 1 other complete and am working on 2 more and have 1 more complete coming. I am also waiting to hear about 2 others I have been fortunate enough to find.

i met danny oakley in 6/80 in south ga. he was racing the bike at that time and i had never seen him before,,,,he was NO SLOUTCH and really a very upbeat and cool guy,,,he was from northern calf. if i remember ,,,,,,and was racing aba and nbl and anything else mongoose was hitting that summer,,,,,,,i have a photo of him in a pro semi in marietti ga. ,,,where i think he made the main.....passing on the outside some well known (still to this day nbl pro,s),,,,,he had the fish decal on his plate ,,,,,,not the band<<<<<<hahahaha but the one about christ. i asked him about this and he said yep jesus is my favorite guy. cool dude and props for his conviction.... i will be happy to post the photo ,,,but i dont know if this photo will scan,,,,,,, jerry
