I'm sure I paid waaaaaay too much, but I had to have it. It has one repair where the downtube is cracked at the edge of the gusset. It appears to be an all original complete bike that a bike shop added new Comp 3s to.
Serial # 119241.
I'll post pics later.

Good job! We should have a race to see who finishes their gusseted Robinson first.
By the way, what kind of gusset does it have? Mine has a round hole in it.
Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

Nice find by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can never have too many!!!
(if anyone needs the old style decals let me know)
Does anyone want to trade a PK Pipper for one of their Robinsons?

Hey crisco, is that gussett flat, as in not stamped? If so thats a rare bird indeed. looks like there isn't a stamp
Whats the S/N If there isn't a stamp it would be a late 79 ealy 80. The headtube badge is also an indication that it's an early model unless it's been added later.
Very nice find indded.........
SoCal1982, no there never was a gussetted 24" Robinson that I know of.......

You have fo sho a very very nice haul.........Most likely a 1980 but there could have been some of those in late 1979. There is a 1979 in the museum / that has a flat gussett, yours is chrome and I don't thing Chuck robinson went to chrome untill 1980!

Thanks for all the great info, DMG. I'm going to hold on to this sucker for a while. It passed the garage and is inside the house. That says something.
