I was wondering if all the Judge framesets are American made? Are there any Japanese or Taiwan made Judges? Did they first come out in 84?

It was tested in the 3/85 issue of BMX Plus!

Once I've seen a chrome Judge frame that had a brake bridge like on my Tai Pro Racer.
Here a pic of my Tai Pro Racer, the Judge I saw had same letter type like on this brake bridge.

JJR are you sure that is a Tai Pro Racer?Shouldn't the serial # on a Tai one be on the bottom bracket?Weren't the Tai gas holes punched and not cleanly drilled? That keycut seatpost tube looks Tai but I have seen american frames with it as well?

???

Jim,
as far I and Mr Coasterbrake know, only Tai frames have ventholes in the seatstays.
Maybe it's a frame for the Euro market because the Judge I've seen with same brakebridge was in France.
And before no US person ever seen such frame with details pictured here.

This is interesting. I have an American Pro Racer frame with the correct tight spacing western letters on the brake bridge and drilled vent holes near the drop outs. The serial # starts with 064 and is on the left rear dropout below the axle slot. The only thing that is weird is that it has a keyhole on the seat tube like in JJR's pic. There are no vent holes on the seat stays.
So I take it that Judge frames came out in 85 and were made in the Tai years. I am assuming that there are Japanese Judges as well. Would everybody agree with that?
