Not QUITE done, but I can call it a bike. Waiting on grips, anyone order direct from A'me and it took like, real long to get them? Anyway, visualize it with white Rounds. Bars, thanks gts340 and seat, thanks 92gli---I still owe ya, talk to me... This thing might get switched up a little in the future---I'm thinking black Tuffs with white GT tires, what do you think? Anyhow, gotta share...first project is together, I'm excited.

Sweet Bike! I had a white one back in the day, but that color is gnarly. Nice job!

Nice bike! Personally I'd go with silver 36h alloy Ukai/Suzue wheels, black GT or Comp III tires, and a silver GT block stem. But your combo is killer too.

Awesome. Was that a factory color that was offered on the Mach One's? I know they put that on the GT Pro Series.
Love it! I had a chrome/blue one BITD.

It came purple, albeit a SLIGHTLY different shade, but I had this paint around and it was a REAL close match---maybe a little brighter. They pop up once in a while.
Thanx for the compliments guys. Problem is, I'm already planning ANOTHER project! It doesn't stop!

what paint did you use?

I used some industrial enamel we had in the shop. The color is OSHA purple, it's what we use to paint the motors used for wastewater turbine pumps. Yep, that's right, it's a spray bomb job. Not as durable as powder, but this bike is more for display anyhow so that's OK. Besides it was a "budget" build, I've got about a hundred bucks in it total!Next one gets a more durable finish though---I'm using Martin Senour Crossfire automotive enamel with hardener, the same stuff I used to shoot our flatbed truck at work. What's next, you ask? I just bought the Pro Raider frame and mystery fork from DansHaros. 'Nother budget build, this is fun!
Oh, and yeah, I'll get on the white Tuff pads. That's one of the little details I need to address to really "finish" this one.

Jon, I can't believe how lucky you got that your bike was still stashed in the barn up here, especially with all those parts still hanging around as well. It looks great! Do you put it to bed behind your bedroom door like you did with it BITD? You should post a before and after pic in this thread.
