Ok - the story first. Some pictures of this diamond in the rough have been posted before, but no story behind it. So follow along - It's been a journey.
Along came one day, a coworker saw me browsing VBMX at work. He asked if I was into BMX - I responded with a smile. He said he raced but in the late 90's - He was afterall only 22. He said someone had given him a frame and it had sat in his father's backyard in Yuma for the last couple years. They were using it as weight to hold down some tarps. He was told it was a quadangle and looked funky. He asked if I wanted it. What do you think my response was? I asked how much he wanted, he said it was given to him, he was passing the favor, as long as I would not sell it and I would build it up. I agreed. He brought over the weekend of Thanksgiving 2004 and handed me this:
