We've had the DG, JMC and Redline threads, but what about all things Breithaupt based? Post 'em here! If someone can help post my Flovals up I'll happily get the ball rolling.
BRIAN HAYS
email them to bhays@gdtr.com and I'll get them up for ya. I'll do mine tonight.
the_wheelie_king

Tom your rear valve stem looks a little crooked. Also whats up with lining the tire logo up with the rim decal. I've never seen it done that way before. LOL!
the_wheelie_king
Sweet OM, and those Quads are awesome! I've got a good feeling about this...

You're killin me Ray....Ha ha

On my first build I wasn't thinking at all: I have tires flipped - one log on drive side/one on non-drive side.

Then, one day, I thought: Hey it would be cool to line all this stuff up! Easy to photograph and get all the brand names!

I still need to fix a few little things on that first build....lol

How about a 2 for one deal...all bikes are original paint, BD-III, JU-6, JMC XP-2, and JMC 1515. Oh yea, and they are all gone.

Strike a light Brian. Owning two SE's was hard enough to justify to the other half...so how the hell did you sweet talk your way into that lot? Did they follow you home?
BRIAN HAYS
well as luck would have it, I'm single and live alone so I don't have to justify any of it to anyone. When my girlfreind does come over and "take inventory" and says something like "that room looks fuller than before", I just say (with much conviction) "You're crazy, it's all the same stuff that's always been there. I just moved them around "

The SE stuff is only about half the full collection

I posted this in thread a few months ago:

Ok - the story first. Some pictures of this diamond in the rough have been posted before, but no story behind it. So follow along - It's been a journey.

Along came one day, a coworker saw me browsing VBMX at work. He asked if I was into BMX - I responded with a smile. He said he raced but in the late 90's - He was afterall only 22. He said someone had given him a frame and it had sat in his father's backyard in Yuma for the last couple years. They were using it as weight to hold down some tarps. He was told it was a quadangle and looked funky. He asked if I wanted it. What do you think my response was? I asked how much he wanted, he said it was given to him, he was passing the favor, as long as I would not sell it and I would build it up. I agreed. He brought over the weekend of Thanksgiving 2004 and handed me this:

I was awestruck!! I finallly could have my bike I rode BITD!!!

Well, needless to say, with the help of my brother Reilley, we built this beauty. I could not find it in my heart to repaint it. I built it as a survivor. I survivor that will be ridden and used!!!

Breakdown:

1985 SE 4130 Quadangle
1990 or so stamped LG
Beartrap H/S with Suntour H/S Lock
DK XL Stem
GT Handlebars
Dia Compe Brake Lever
SE Brown Cable Housing
ACS Boa Brake - looking for something better
Redline 401's - full wrap 180MM Cranks
Redline BB
GT Hubs - non sealed early version
Araya 7x's - hubs and rims courtesy of AZQuadrider
Cheng Shin Tires
GT Seatpost
TufNeck Clamp
Team Cycle -Aero Seat
Cheesy padset!!
Worn out Shimano DX Pedals that still spin smooth
And a whole lot of riding dirt!!

Man this bike is awesome to ride and still weighs less than any of my other bikes!

A big thanks to Reilley for providing a lot of the parts for this build!! He found the NOS forks in a small shop in Southern California - he gave them to me for my B-day last May!

Sidehack guy...I love the quad...meant to be ridden for sure. Looks like my 1993 chromoly quad I used to have, best ride ever. I could wheelie that thing for days.

Alreight Brian...I may have to take some pics.
COASTY
My looptail PK that unfortunately I sold. I should of kept it and it had campy graphites on it when I sold it. It had JMC DY pro bars on it too! Man I'm still kickin' myself.
