ok the jig is up...........
when i first saw the skyway i was amazed. now this quad shows up. its quite clear these arent old bikes. somehow you greased the right hands and got yourself a time machine. must be nice. next time ya go back grab me a bunch of black hutch grips.
on a serious note, your builds and pictures are totally awesome. some of the cleanest and purist stuff ive seen. great job!

Your seat post clamp needs to be bumped 1/8th of an inch to the left.. Seriously though, your bikes are amazing. Thanks for sharing.

My first project bike is a 1983 Quadangle also. It wont come out as cool as your bikes which are amazing. Im trying to recreate the actual Quad I owned in 83 and it wasnt as sweet looking as yours.
Im willing to buy one of the first collectors edition Martin-Bike Callenders and Posters, knowing in 20 years those will be wanted. Man an all SE Quadangle Calender and all SE PK Ripper Calender or at least a all SE Calender, all Skyway calender. Im sure you can get a deal worked with those companies!!! And others!

Okay well done buddy.. NOW you can stop polishing hehehe.. You never answered my question??.. were these bikes painted or powder coated?
www.martin-bike.com
Jan 11 2006, 06:19 AM
I did answer it on the previous thread Luis. Quad was painted, Skyway is NOS, Floval powdered, JMC was received as is so not sure. I'll get to the other bikes when I post them.

VERY NICE!!!! glad to see some builds _not_ having the hutch beartraps. Even though I would love to have some for myself... Loved both the SKYWAY and the QUAD. very good job.

Now that Chris Baron is retiring, its good to know that these kind of standards are being maintained...if not surpassed. Thats incredible Martin.

Martin, amazing, probably better than when it was new. The question is... would any of us mere mortals be able to buy any of your bikes? And I know you have well over 50!
