THUG1971
Here's my latest project that I finished up a couple of weeks ago.

I welcome any feedback or suggestions.

Special Thanks to Bill for the long-awaited Repro decal set to finish this thing off.

Here's a "Before" look at the framesets that would later get refinished. Purchased both of these for $10 to remove the "eyesore" from a LBS.

Had the frames & forks refinished and put together this little goose:

Frame/Fork: MONGOOSE - Tri-Moly Frame & Fork - 1981
Bars/Stem/Headset: MONGOOSE Pro Class - OAKLEY F-1's - Pro Neck - Hatta
Cranks/Pedals: SR Cosmolite - TufNeck Disc - Suntour Chainwheel - Shimano SX
Brakes: Shimano Tourney - ACS Z-pads
Wheels/Tires: ACS Z's - Shimano HF Hubs - Asahi Black & Yellow Spokes - TIOGA Comp III 1.50's
Seating: Elina LIghtning - Race Inc post - Suntour clamp

Nicer photos to come at a later date.

Now I need to finish the Hutch and PK in the background to keep my Goose and his Big Torker Brother company in the garage!

Happy New Year to All !!!

Very nice. I'm not a big fan of Z-rims...too much flex. A pr of motomags in gold would have been sweet too ! Did you have the frame powder coated or painted ?

I had it powder coated and was really dissappointed at how thick it was. It looks great unitl you get right up to it and all the weld detailing is covered up. I have an old Powerlite being done right now and I chose to have it painted rather than powdered. Too much loss of details in the welds, etc.

Wow! nice job on that. Very well done and looks killer!
Motomag
Very nice. Everything looks great. The top tube decal is on backwards (should be red stripe fwd) but no big deal.

I love the Z-rims cuz im a mid 80's junkie. I never raced with them but I had several pair on my thrasher bikes as did everyone else back then. Bravo for using them. I wish more people would. I bet 50% of the survivor bikes from that era had z-rims on it at least once.
QuicksilverBMX
man thats a great build, it was also the similar colour combo of my very first build!
