I think I was still racing a REdline MXII in those pics. I remember being really psyched to get a pic in a mag.
Thanks for calling me "famous" too.

TJ-BMX, That pix was taken out of Total BMX Sept. '81.
Here's the cover - I wonder how often races are run in the rain today. When you think about it, this may have been the only time that a race in the rain/mud made the cover of a magazine. (?)
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c138/sti...coversept81.jpgB/t/w, That's Mat Harris and Bob Hunt on the cover.

Brad, Seeing as I was trying my darndest to throw you an elbow, we'll call it even! lol
All, I'm still waiting for an ID on the 92T rider - perhaps it's just too obvious to deserve a respone. I'll give you a hint, he rode with homemade DEVO flowerpot valve caps.

Would you believe 92T was John Tomac.
Since no one's really biting on this thread, I'm going to do one more and that's all for me...ok, guess who the tall guy is...

Man I saw some names I forgot all about but were dominate back then.
Matt Harris owned. Remember the old late 70s Wheels Unlimted wheel covers.
My biggest regret is not making Nationals back in the day. In 1980 I made one and got hurt bad at it and missed the rest of the summer and in 1981 made just 2 (One in St College, PA I led all three motos and crashed, the other in Texas it was between me and DD Leone for the final transfer spot and he got it). Then I moved 2 Cali and was so broke I made none.
Anyone else have that regret?

Jim, did you give it away by using viking in the photo title? Could it be none other than Roland Veight? Had to race him BITD all over Florida, along with Madden, Calia, the Panaciones(?), etc....

U got it bmxterry! And yes, I gave it way. Heck, after no one bit on the Tomac question, I figured I would make it a bit easier on everyone.
