Be quiet. Whisper in your head when you read this. After you are done, totally destroy this photo and your whole computer, monitor and all. Nobody must ever know we did this. OK, this is the redline mx2 at the arboretum tgif in austin. It was dark. 11:00 at nite. I snapped this from outside, secretly. Someday i will get the nerve to go inside and get a good shot. shhhh. Quiet, now go, get the gun shoot the darn computer.

This particular redline is built with non-correct parts. Cheap CW copy bars. White tuffs from like the 1990's. Not a big tragedy by any means, seeing this on the wall. The frame and fork are not bad, though. I need to look closely to see where they mounted it.

Actually, those white tuffs might be more like 1986-87 gt performer or dyno. Still not correct for that bike.

There aren't any TGIF's any where near me. If there was I'd post a pic. But I'll live through all of yours. Keep 'em coming.

Brand new TGIF just opened last week in Peoria IL. I'm gonna scope it out very soon. Only problem right now is
A) It's brand new so everyone is there
B) It's directly across the street from the brand new mall so... everyone is there and
C) its Christmas shopping season and it's across the street from the brand new mall, so everyone is there. I'll scope it out and report back.....10/4,over.

This could turn into a good thread.
I can see it now.
"Honey get the kids we're going to Fridays for dinner in the bar."
"Of course we can take the kids in the bar!!!!"
"Oh, by the way can you grab the digital camera, I want to take a few pictures!!!!"
"No, not of the bar maid!!!!!"
"You'll see."

We're going to get one here in Inverness pretty soon, it seems. So far the closest is Gainesville, I'll check that one eventually too.

OK, completed the second part of my mission. Team beware: the enemy is putting these highly reflective highway signs near the bikes so that our super secret flash cameras will be rendered inoperative. This is Round Rock, TX. A Diamond Back silver streak.

The Eden Prarrie one has a Redline. I may be going to the MoA one Monday night to try to drum up some business.

TGIF location:
D/FW airport - American Airlines terminal
Bike - some kind of Hutch - I snapped the pic on the run and didn't really get to take a close look at it.

Wow that Hutch actually looks pretty good. Definitely the best posted bike yet.
My local TGIF's (Enfield Connecticut) has a Roger DeCoster. Nothing great, but I'd love to take on the stealthy mission of paparazzi bike photography!!

My wife called me from D/FW to tell me about a Hutch hanging on the wall. (the one pictured above) The first thing I asked her was to describe the cranks. No dice on the Aero's. "How about the pedals, what do they look like" She said it didn't have any. I thought "Good!", now I don't have to figure out a way to talk her into stealing the bike and making a break for it!

The Phoenix NW side location has a Pro Star, aerospeeds and all on the wall?? True?
sanjosebmx
Mar 24 2006, 04:24 PM
I heard TGIF was buying all the aerospeeds because they are easier to drill through than Flight and Profiles..
