Sure enough, Frog, that is the old Adams County Fairgrounds indoor series! That's George Goodall, #285 in the middle.
I'm flying the Patterson jersey in that shot, but I was riding for Aurora Racer's Edge with Steve Shepherd, Dennis Otis, and Wally Anderson in those days.
Frog, YGM.

Too cool, what a small world. So I am sure that you remeber the Lucas brothers and DB. I must have been a few age groups behind you as I think George was a few years older than me...
So do you remember the Frog?

Small world is right! I do indeed remember DB and the Lucas Bros. Here's a shot, probably summer of 1980 at Expo Park, me slightly leading on my Red Line Micro-Line before the Patterson. That's both Lucas Bros in red/blue.
That's Shawn Carter low inside and Eric "Sponge" Williams playing catch up on one of the first GJS frames I ever saw around here.
Brian Lucas is now the Track Operator at the NBL track in Aurora.
Do I remember The Frog? Can't say as I do, but I just sent you an email and saw your last name. I seem to remember that last name, but the first name was Scott, I believe. Am I warm?

Rebel, what age class did you ride back in 1979-1982. I raced all of the MD tracks during that period, but Rockville was almost in my back yard. Just wanted to see if we may have raced each other BITD. I raced 13x - 16x during that period. Here is a pic of me taken at the first Rockville track in Sept 1979. This was when the track was off of Gude Dr. I can't remember exactly when it moved to Seven Locks Rd

Edit: ok and to keep with the thread. Here is a picture of me jumping the berm at the Millersville track in Nov of 1980 (picture taken by Justin Shepard's Dad)

Well Mike, Yes, I had two of them. One was a 72 coupe witha 365 horse 327 in it. The other, Well, 73 wagon, 550 horse tunnel rammed dual quads 331ci, turbo 400, manual valve body, full frame and cage, narrowed 12 bolt w/ 4:88's, Car went 11.87 on street tires and closed exhaust. With tuning and slicks, it went 10.02 at the track. Not bad for a street car in 1984. I street raced it every weekend in Brockton! Naa..He isnt crazy.
Tell Dad, next time I'm in Fla, I'm going to look both of you guys up!

Chris: Nice picture. When I saw that picture, it brought back many memories of hellyer park bitd. I don't remember Terry starting way back when though. David Wallis and his CW's . Roy was still fast even when he came out of retirement. I remember that guy with the #17 plate. I think his name was Andy, but I forgot his last name. He always ran those " Pickle " plates. All we need now is Phil Ziep in the background announcing

jpbmxfool: During that time, Hank and Frank's race team consisted of: Roy David, Steve Hutchinson, Sean Ho, Mark Perez, and Jeff Willis. Older racers included Fred Hightower, Ron Anderson, Jon Anderson, Bod Medrano ( I think. Steve can verify this for us ), and Bodie Cook. I may be missing the afew, but these were the main ones.

I saw posts by sanjosebmx and jpbmxfool about Hank and Frank's, that was the old Silver Shield Team if I remember, I might be wrong. I lived in Pleasanton(my dad still does) so I know Sunol, me and my friends used to ride out there all the time, this was way before a track was there. I seem to remember a track there later on, man, a long time ago. I used to race against the Silver Shield guys and guys like Brent Patterson, just about Speedo time, I raced from 74 to about 79 or so, I raced the Yamaha Cup race at Santa Clara Stadium(?) in 74. Any of you guys ever race Merritt College in Oakland or Maclaren Park in Frisco? I raced at all kinds of tracks, most I forgot, though I think one of the last races I did was at this track at Lafayette around 79 or so, I have pics of me racing there, I'll have to get them posted somehow. Alot of us 16+ Experts rode Champions, still have mine. Luckily I have a bunch of photos of my racing days.

Ben- good form into your burm. But you are the only kid with no DG sticker on yur bike. The kid in the back has the ultra valuable space tape gusset sticker. Spike-I worked at hank and franks on East 14th street in oakland, in 1977-78. I was too young to ride at merritt. I would love to see some pics. My home track was fremont raceway. I had one of those hank and franks silvershild jerseys, and have been looking for it desperately. I also have a trophy from merritt i got at the dumps............jp

I remember racing at McLaren Park in Frisco. I remember racing David Osborne from AJ's Cyclery there all the time. We had great battles. The track at Merritt Park in Oakland ? Wasn't that the track that was under the freeway across the street from the southside of Lake Merritt ? I remember going there with Greg Liggins, Thomas Ingram, and Richard Marschall. That track was a hot ticket where people always got their bikes ripped-off .
