TNT stem Differences ?

I have 2 TNT stems and they have some differences that have me trying to figure out the age. Blue one has a longer quill, smoother non-beveled edges on the top, smoother angles and no indent on the bottom. Black has shorter quill, machine beveled edges on top, and indent on bottom.

the blue one is newer and i believe taiwanese-made.

I agree, blue one is Taiwan made around 1999 and the black is US built before 1999.
