Strike recommended that I post some pictures here from this magazine as a lot of people never saw or heard about it when it was published , from August 1980 thru to Feb 1982.
If you have some copies of Action Now , please do a bit of scanning & post some of the pix here as well.

I'll start it off with some serious insanity at Pipeline with Jeff Watson.

JB, you are the man, a lot of the old skatepark guys were so freaking good, these early 80's skatepark photos really make me wish I could have been there. I had a copy of Action Now and rememered seeing Bob Haro in it with amazing photography by James Cassimus.

I am SO looking forward to the rest of this thread.

Yeah, That Pipe looks pretty big. nothing like a carve to almost flat bottom. That is one magazine I don't have. Always wondered what is in it. Let's see some more freestyle?

Yeah, action Now was Skateboarder Magazine's last hurrah - kind of like when Freestylin' started to include skating.

I think you guys have seen this but I scanned some key stuff a while back:

Rumplestiltskin!!!

Cool pics for sure. But I wanna know where he got Bottema forks for a Proline from! Can't be many of them around. He rode a Mongoose before the Redline too.
