So at last years grands (2012) there was talk of powerlite coming back. Then didnt hear much since. Now Ive heard people saying at this years grands they saw the dfr trailer with powerlite decals on it, and riders being associated with powerlite during racing . Just wondering because who ever bought out powerlite, robinson, auburn a few years ago is finishing old stock frames and marketing them as new 2012, 2013 etc models on ebay and these interesting web sites that look like a 15 year old made them. You will see one of these frames for sale on ebay as well every now and then.
http://www.powerlitebicycles.com/
http://www.robinsonbicycles.com/
The frame I saw being ridden at the 2012 grands was more traditional.
So can anyone shed some light on this?

Dude that owns DFR does not own powerlite. Just had them made without permission.

Yup, he bought the Powerlite name, but it was the wrong one. I believe Pacific Cycle owns the Powerlite Bikes naming rights now, he purchased a different powerlite and was having the frames made under that name.

He then proceeded to call out Justin from Porkchop for making counterfeit powerlite padsets without his permission, when Justin in fact had permission from the actual owner of powerlite.

Bottom line.. Guy is GRADE A [that which cleanses internals]...

If i understand this right....

Powerlite is owned by pacific cycles.

Chris? DFR, bought the "powerlite" from the guys in Georgia i believe is where they were. Making their own frames. Identical to what is on the website you linked.

I would imagine if DFR bought the real powerlite, they would have been flooding the market with frames long ago to get their investment returned.
