All bikes were awesome! Lillare's Trickstar and The split black/white GT. to many cool ones and I'm to lazy to type them all out. I had fun building and entering this build off and I look forward to doing some more. Thanks to all the sponsors and to Justin at Porkchop.

#1 Stidds / 1981 CBR
#2 Calismoothe / 1985 CW Freestyle
#3 CW5150 / 1984 JMC DY

Special congrats to the Hulk Torker theme bike.

Not too many people stand alone with such unique designs.
Most builders choose the path of all NOS / restored or " restified survivor ".
Reminds me of the musclecars during the early '70's !!!

Absolutely unique !

My Votes:

Firt: LilLare - 1985 Hutch Trick Star
Comment: Larry, you couldn't have picked a better entry than this Hutch in candy blue. I really like the simple and elegant blending of the chrome and black, everything polished to perfection with just that little sprinkling of blue at the spoke nipples. This bike screams exactly what this build off was for. You took a big chance posting first and letting your pictures go stale after two weeks of people looking. In the end (in my mind) you set the bar high for all other entries and I think you nailed it.

Second: calismoooth - 1985 CW California Freestyle
Comment: Merle, you have the gift of being able to visualize what you're building even when starting a turd like your last picture shows. What you transformed that old dirty bike into is nothing short of amazing. In addition to the Hutch years being celebrated I also remember the "Euro White" phase that happened right around the same time and it just took me back to that era in my mind. Your use of white and chrome throughout your bike is such a perfect bland it just stood out among all the other entries.

Third: Axel10 - 1984 Kuwahara KYZ
Comment: Alex, when I saw your entry for the first time it brought back the same feelings of envy I had when a few of my friends rode Kawaharas in the eighties. I especially like your last shot which shows the attention to detail and quality you put into your bike. Every part is simply immaculate and makes the whole bike look showroom new. I never owned a Kuwahara but always coveted and dreamed of one. Maybe someday I'll find one. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Here are my honorable mentions (in order of posting):

rmp - SE PK Ripper
CW5150 - 1984 JMC Darrell Young
calismoooth - 1985 GT Pro Series
hallw36 - 1986 Mongoose Californian
animalstyle - 1986 Dyno Compe 2
wtblaze - 1987 Mongoose Californian
gtinterceptor - 1983 Redline PL20 Carrera II
Genix9 - 1987 Haro Team Sport
mtbwrxwagon - 1984 Free Agent Freeflite
4themasses - 1984 Hutch Pro Racer
bmxcurator - 1985 HARO FST
GreenFiend - 1988 GT Interceptor
kframe - 1983 "Like Cola" Scorpion
badmofo - 1985 Hutch Pro Raider

Thank you to everyone who took the time to build a bike in this first-ever Vintage BMX bike build off, for those who came and checked them out and to those who took the time to cast their votes. Forty-eight more BMX bikes saved and preserved!
