Please cast your votes here for the Golden Age of BMX Build Off using the following format (please copy and paste):

My votes:
First: userid, bike name
Second: userid, bike name
Third: userid, bike name

Example:

My votes:
First: Bob, 1999 Reynolds Racing Complete
Second: etc...

Your votes should be the first lines of your entry. I highly encourage you to add any comments you'd like to make after your votes. This would be a great place to add your own 4th place, any honorable mentions, etc.

Only bikes entered here http://www.vintagebmx.com/community/index....wtopic=27063100 are eligible to win. Eligibility of entrants, voters and freestyle elements on winning bikes will be verified.

6. Voting: Sunday, September 9th through 11:59 PM PDT Sunday, September 16th, 2012 (a one week window)
- All VBMX members registered before September 8th, 2012 may vote once (whether or not entered in this build off)
- voters will cast three votes in no particular order - each vote will count as one point
- No voting for your own bike

First: kframe, 1982 CW ZX Pro
Second: gtinterceptor, 1983 Redline PL20 Carrera II
Third: mtbwrxwagon, 1984 Free Agent Freeflite

Voting is always the hardest part of any build off. There are always too many great bikes to choose just three, and this build off is no exception. I did my best to be as objective as possible based on just the BUILD and not my favorite brand, style, etc.

I changed my three choices no less than 10 times. If I could only pick 5... or better yet 10... then this would be easier (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I will say this, honorable mentions definitely go to:
LilLare's Trick Star
rmp's PK
calismooth's CW
carrottopstudios' Torker
CW5150's JMC
HuffyRider's Patterson
GreenFiend's black/white GT
kframe's Scorpion

And so all together that's like my Top 10... so don't think I didn't love more bikes than that, it's just the list is getting a little ridiculous.

Thanks again to everyone who participated - I will reveal my Chop Saw pick when wired announces the winners on Sept 17th.

My votes:
First: Wired, 1988 Haro Invert
Second: wdesign, 1982 Redline Proline II
Third: hmcalismooth, CW California Freestyle

Honorable mentions:
cw5150, 1984 JMC Darrel Young
kframe, 1982 CW ZX Pro
GT Interceptor, 1983 Redline PL20 Carrera II

Great builds everybody. It was funny, I usually don't care much for freestyle bikes yet I couldn't help but vote for 2 of them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) cw5150 and kframe - I love your bikes. You guys just barely missed my top 3.

My votes:

wired - 1988 Haro Invert
axel10 - 1984 Kuwahara KYZ
wdesign - Pearl white 1982 Redline Pro Line - II

The following builds also really popped for me:

calismooth's 1985 CW California Freestyle, lilare's 1985 Hutch Trick Star and gtinterceptor's 1983 Redline PL20 Carrera II - all strikingly clean builds.

carrottopstudios' s 1980 Torker (Hulk Smash) - Great idea! Awesome work and attention to detail.

It's been fun to participate and actually manage to get my entry in (3 days, the fastest build I've ever done). Thanks to Justin and the rest of the sponsors, and thanks to Kelly for managing this build off.

Good luck to everyone who entered.

Very nice builds!
Wow- can I take these home too?

1st vote: GTintercptor- '83 RL Carerra
2nd vote: CW5150- '84 JMC
3rd vote: RMP: PK Ripper

I realize the hard work and detail that goes into these bikes. My '85 GT Pro in the build-off was fun to build as well as ride around- amazing how these old things still "have it"! Nothing compares- taking the GT to the BMX track on Wednesday to rip it up! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Good job to all! ~EasyCheese
