Need even more incentive to put your best foot forward in this build off?

The 3 winners will each get their own month in the 2013 Porkchop BMX calendar. The Hutch we're giving away will also get its own month (hopefully with the new owner standing next to it). The Skyway 24XL we'll be giving away in the upcoming cruiser build off will also get a month. The remaining 7 months are undecided but will most likely be my favorites in this build off beyond the winners who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

We did a calendar for the first time last year - we have a couple dozen copies left on our website for a clearance price of only $2.99 if you want to see what a great job John Lee did designing last year's version: http://www.porkchopbmx.com/2012-Porkchop-B...hopCalendar.htm

Good luck to everyone who is entering!

Very cool! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/good3.gif)

The tires for the giveaway bike just got here! The Tioga yellow label Comp 3 reissues. We got 3 pair.. one pair for YOUR new Hutch, as well as two other Hutches we're building for fun for this build off (not to enter... just because I've always wanted a Hutch).

Also, I just got off the phone with the powdercoater and he should be shipping the other two Hutches (we're doing a pink one and a lavender one) tomorrow so I'll be posting more pics early next week of us putting them together.

As far as the chrome Pro Racer YOU will be winning, Bullseye is sending us the hubs and bottom bracket for it within the next few days so I should also have some updates on it sometime next week.

I believe a LBS called CAPS(Vancouver CANADA) had the frames gold chrome plated. I could be wrong, does anyone else have any info

I do believe that CAPS sold the gold colored KYZ, but I am 100% certain that it was not a color exclusive to them, for instance the one I acquired was purchased in Red Deer, AB in 1984 (Sports World), and I have heard from someone in Puerto Rico that they recall seeing this color there too.

Anyway, I will be using the following from the original bike on the current build:
-single hole Elina saddle (appears to be rare in the scheme of things)
-WIN bars
-WIN stem
-DC 890 rear

I have also found a number of OS parts that I will be using, including this wheel set:

My goal is to build her the way it may have looked back in the day - not the way we would build her today (hope that makes sense).

Ah, then we'll see a one piece crank, right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

In my opinion there is nothing that screams 80s BMX louder than a OPC. So yes, you will see a OPC on this build, along with a most happening chainring (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
