1980 Mongoose Motomag, Before and after Options

I got this bike last year from the scrap pile and now have it finished. I painted it black which is the original color. I cleaned up and re used alot of the original goose parts, even the original tires are there. Just thought I'd share.

Josh that Mongoose motomag came out awesome !

You well deserved to find such an orignal piece for a reasonable amount.

I think everything on it is just perfect ... I'll have to look at the stem upclose but if you ever need a ashtabula stem I'll be hitting up my local swap meet so I'll keep an eye out for one.

Keep building them ... just like you do at a nice steady pace.

I have found the nicest builds usually take the longest to build .... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Thanks for the compliments guys I appreciate it. I just do the best with what I have and can afford. The stem is the one that was on it when I found it and it looks like it was on it for 30 years. It's an areo mx II, never seen one before. Maybe in the future I will put the ashtabula stem on when Mr Smith can hook me up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
