Advice on Building a Phase II mini cruiser Options

Hey Guys,

I picked up a Phase II titanium cruiser from the craigslist a while back. I want to build it up and give it to my nephew as a gift. Problem is I don't know anything about minis.

So far all I have is the F/F and headset. The nephew is 4" and weighs 40 lbs.

Can you guys recommend some components that would be period correct for the Phase II.

Also, what size cranks did kids use on these bikes? chaniwheel sizes? freewheel sizes?


Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd look at taking modern-drivetrain parts like the compact-drivetrain into consideration. That sharper-wrap at the crank will do alot for a little bike!

Crupi cranks, crupi hubs, bombshell almuminum forks or some T.I forks, check ebay there seems to a lot of vintage mini cuiser stuff popping up.
