Rolling Stones, top 100 guitarist Options

This is a good topic hear for those of you whom are passionate about music.

Rolling Stone magazine put out their top 100 guitarist list and wow what are these people smoking.
Or better yet whom is greasing their pockets like the rest of corrupt America.

Jimi Hendrix was #1 which I can't argue EXCEPT he's dead.
WTF to compete in anything you must be alive.
Once someone famous passes away they are put on a pedistall like a God.

Jerry Garcia came in at #46 .... OMG this is a cardinal sin.
He was undoubtably one of the best improtue guitarist ever.

And Prince was in the top #25 ... who's idea was that ?
This clown came onto the scene in the '80's and then dissapeared.

No mentioning of :

Dave Matthews
Tim Reynolds
Warren Haines

So what do you guitar players think of this list ?

If I had a link to this list I would post it as it sounds like a virtual joke to me.

Trey Anastasio, Tim Reynolds, and Jerry Garcia should be at lease top ten or twenty but as I said rolling stone is a joke

I insist that the Rolling Stone top 100 list is more like a fantasy football than anything.
To be in the running you first must be alive.

And Prince ... OMG ... He just never impressed me.

The icing on the cake is soooo many artists are not listed yet well known by the rest of the world.

Tim Reynolds should be on the list but Dave Mathews? Maybe if someone wanted to compile a most boring show list. I have shot him on 3 different occasions and the only difference was the color of his shirt. DMB shows are a serious yawn fest.
