Hey Guys,

I am looking at having a MIDWEST BMX FEST here in Moline IL. We are located right off I-74 & I-80 right on the Mississippi river border of IL/IA. I am looking at having a fun day in the park. Maybe a Bike show, swap meet and alot of fun. I think I will have some good size throphys for BEST, vintage, midschool and new school and a Cool unique handmade BEST OF SHOW.

Since it is in a park, Tables wont be provided. I am looking at having food vendors and other fun things including prizes, 50/50 and so on. This is to also raise money for my MIDWEST BMX DONATION PROGRAM.

Not only will this show be across from Bike one in Moline IL, which carries all types of brands most bike shops dont, we are 10 min from Standard Byke CO and 2 other cool bike shops local, Goodtimes super store "Rick Moliternos" skate and bike shop which carries all cool freestyle and race parts, and we are also near BMX racing zone which carries alot of race and vintage parts.

Not to mention a well known huge concrete skate park thats been in a ton of videos, and a great race track. Everything local and 10 min away from the fest.

I am looking for advice on what to do, this will be next year, when would be the perfect time of the year? What do you want to see. How much fun do you want to have?

Here are some cam phone pics. The reason here is because it is 1 min from my where my program builds bikes. It is also across the street from bikeone. Next door is a whities and country style ice cream parlors. A hardess and some gas stations. Then it also sits on 2 of our main drags which would be great exposer for people driving by. There are also 2 huge new play grounds and seating...

Nice location I'd say mid/late May before Rockford cause allot of folks are probably burned out after the Rock. Or wait until around this time mid/late September.

Hey is there one of those cool rubberized running tracks around the football feild?

Yes it is rubberized. Yes it is open to public. but im sure we would be in trouble quick doing that, but hey if we dont get caught? LMAO

Maybe have my wife set up her photostuff and take pics of bikes with maybe some of these ladies?

After talking with Rick Moliterno, we decided to have it right at the skatepark 5-10 min away from where planned. Right next to it is where they use to have sturgis on the river where usually 20,000 harleys would gather for a weekend, so IF i can get it, plenty of room for a bmx show, parking, swap and 50ft from the skatepark and 2 min from STANDARD. Below are pictures of the skate park to where I need to get with the city for it to be held. Wonder how many people i should tell the city will show?
