I'm flying to Louisville and taking U.S. Airways. Anyone out there have experience with U.S. Airways in terms of whether they check "golf" bags to see if it actually has golf clubs? If I can't use the golf bag, any suggestions on how to transport the bike without paying the oversize fee? BTW, its a expert 20" bike.

US Air loses everything. I wouldn't trust them with a 10ft pole with any luggage, let alone a bike. If they find out it's a bike, it's $50.00 each way.
