ROCKFORD 2011 - Sponsored By Mongoose
Run in conjunction with the ABA Midwest Nationals!

**NEW-AND-FINAL INFORMATION**

CHANGE: THE SHOW AREA IS THE SAME AS YEARS PAST
Due to a last-minute change by the Park District, we have been moved back to our old location, adjacent to the track. We will have special parking passes (free) for the Vintage attendees, which will allow you to park in the ring around our area. Get one for your dashboard at the track on Friday, or pull in to the loading zone and get one Saturday morning.

IMPORTANT: Please be considerate of your fellow Vintage pals and BACK or pull into your parking spot (in other words, don't pull your vehicle and trailer in parallel to the space, taking up 6 spots, we will ask you to move). We only have about 50 car slots, which should be enough for the early birds. Late comers will have to find parking as they can, some come early! Bring cones if you want to stake a claim on your spot from Friday to Saturday. Spaces that are not coned off will not have "dibs."

Event T-Shirts will be sold on-site and shipped to you the week after the event. Price will be $20, including shipping.

The layout will be the same as last year with spots ringing the area, and a center cluster of spaces, with a U-shaped aisle around the area.

You can claim your display spot as early as 10AM Friday morning. This year, there are no assigned spots, except for sponsors, so real estate is first come, first served. That said, try and be considerate of others in taking the amount of space you'll need, and no more (10x10, or 10x20 recommended).

RECOMMENDED THINGS TO BRING
- Cash for swap meet and raffle
- Cones for parking
- Table for your space, if needed
- Pens/markers
- Cooler and Ice
- Grill and gas/charcoal
- Something to grill
- Bottled water or other non-alcoholic drinks
- Chairs
- EZ-Up, or wooden stakes and cordon tape for your spot
- Cutters, or other mosquito repellent
- Rain gear, just in case
- Bikes, entered or not!!

"Best In Show" Voting 3:30 - 4:00PM The winners of each show category will be presented one final time for the voters to select which, among them, is the "Winner among Winners!"

SATURDAY AFTERNOON - VintageBMX.com Cookout and Bro-Down
Guest Speaker: Jeff Kosmala
Location: Normal Vintage Area at the Rockford BMX Track
Time: 4:00PM

Gather your lawn chairs round the proverbial campfire and hear from Kos as you munch down on burgers, brats or whatever you decide to bring (**no alcohol on park property**). Bring you hibachi grill, or kettle...we will also have one or two on site for you, with charcoal supplied.

After Kos is done, we will announce the "Best In Show" winner, and hand out the trophies of the day.

The event is scheduled to end at 6PM

The evening festivities are yours to create, but we assume the Tilted Kilt will figure prominently in the plan (hence the reason for staying at or near the ClockTower).

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Best,

M

Sorry, forgot to include that info. If you are coming to the Site Supporter Lunch, just PM me to let me know, as well as if you will be bringing a guest (for food planning purposes).

Best,

M

Just to make sure, anyone can sell at the swap meet right? No fees involved?

If you have a small amount of stuff, say less than or equal to what would fit in the trunk of a car, then it's free. If you are bringing a U-Haul full of stuff, or similar, then the $25 would apply.

It's kind of the difference between saying "I have a few things to get rid of" and "I am going to Rockford to sell parts"

Best,

M

Yes, it will be open (though maybe it is weather permitting).

Best,
