It is with the heaviest of hearts that we bring news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our friend, Philip Wolcott, father to Girl Pro Taylor Wolcott and her brother Kyle.

With the permission of the family, I posted a brief "In Memoriam" piece on BMX News to bring the BMX Community up to speed on this tragic event.

Shellie, Kyle and Taylor are doing as well as can be expected, and are very grateful for the prayers and well wishes pouring in from all over the globe.

More information on memorial services as they become available.

Phillip was always my go to guy for getting stuff to IPOT without shipping. Always down to meet at AM/PM at all hours of the day or night and always ready to hang out and BS. Prayers to the Wolcott family, your father was a good man and he will be missed.

Crazy... not sure when or how I met Phil but truly a stand up guy across the board. Always knew things I didn't expect him to know and really supportive. We lost a good dude but definitely can see some stories bein shared about one if the good guys in bmx.

wow. I had never met him, but he contacted me this summer about sending Taylor out to the girls skills week at the camp my wife and I do... and since it was over the worlds, he couldn't send her, so we spoke about this coming summer.
Prayers from my family out for theirs.

This is a tragic loss. Phillip and his family are one of the true Oak Creek and Nor Cal locals. He really loved the BMX scene and was always there to support it. My thoughts and condolences are with them.
