Okay, you guys havent let me down yet with your knowledge so heres another one for you.
I've had this frame for about 7 years. I got it from a friends son that didnt want it anymore so I jumped on it. I finally put it together for my son recently as he showed sum interest in it. I would like to know the year and model of it.

Thanks.
I'm curious, how do you tell the year and where it was made? Is it the first two numbers after the letter? and does the letter indicate where its made?

the letter designates the factory. in this case, the next two digits should be the year.

not all serials have an obvious scheme for the year, though (sometimes it's more letters or a combo of letters and numbers).

Well ... Mr. Coasterbrake I usually believe you are right but in this case I believe this is an "Eluder" ?

The model starts w/ an " E " and they are US made as I once had one w/ the og " Made in USA " decal on the seat mast near the BB.

Check the museum site for models under that year and F/A. Oh did I just say that ? The museum site ... for shame! LOL !

Rob

BTW the "Made in USA" decal belongs where the Cali. registration is.

Thanks guys, after looking at the museum id have to say it looks like 2000 Free Agent Maverick. the eluder doesnt have the built in seat clamp and that one looks like the tubes coming off the head are reinforced.

as best you can tell from pics, i'd agree with the Maverick. by 1999 the Eluder was aluminum, so it can't be that, anyway.
