How do you properly use this chart when switching between tire diameters; either matching cruiser and class or going from 1 1/8" to 1 3/8"? Do we need to know the tooth pitch of these inbetween gears?
I explain in the podcast that these charts do not include tire information if you'd like to do that then the only way in my mind is to actually compute the rollouts
ex: 43.7/16*20*pi=171.52 cruiser 41/18*24*pi=171.65 difference between these 2 setups is 0.133 inches (~1/8) of real rollout
Because tires are so all over the place we all need to start getting used to doing a little math, it wont hurt you

Great podcast! Good info and I'm glad George mentioned the tire issue. I had the same problem when Iswitched from micro knobs to power blocks. It ws so frustrating that I had to switch to a 1.65 rear.
If you follow my latest article in the BMXer and enter your different tire information you would prob find that you could have matched your rollout very closely
thanks

This is awesome!!! This is thinking completely thinking outside the box. But it does have me thinking. Does a 1/4 tooth really make a measurable difference on the track?
To some it makes all the difference

I want to know how many time George is going to answer the question of "Where is the .2 tooth on this thing?" in Tulsa...
