so....should they just make it legal, save all that money spent on developing drug test, etc.? doesn't seem to be making people quit using the crap...

what is sad about this is that the uci and contador both have known about the failed test for about 5 weeks already.why wasn't this made public when it happened? every other rider who has failed a test has had it anounced almost instantly some even before there b sample was tested.

Sad? Those of us that know professional cyclist, now they've all used illegal drugs. Its not any secret and humanly impossible to ride the Tour de France and such without them. Just the facts. They're all using and some are caught and some not each year.

Now the beef producers in Spain are up in arms because Contador's defense (drugs in the beef) are making them look bad. They want a full investigation.
WADA already inspected the Spanish butcher where the meat came from and the slaughterhouse and found no trace of the drug in question.

He was just caught with clenbuterol, its not even a steroid, its a drug for asthmatics I think, bodybuilders may use it before a contest to burn a little fat, it isnt much of a performance enhancer at all.

Competitors will always look for an edge, the nature of competition. All professional athletes are using performance enhancing drugs. If you want to compete at that level drugs are a part, just as much as training and nutrition and rest.
