incidents at otc???
I would encourage you to read the BMXNEWS article. There are no secret messages to decode in the copy. It is a simple statement.
Also understand that being, as some put it, "dropped" and being "released from one's contract" can often be two different things. Mutual agreement leaps to mind.

Hmm. Haro would be a good fit for him. Would that mean that Cisar would get the bump? Free Agent, GT, Redline all seemed to have there ducks in a row. Oh the horror!

In light of recent events, Intense BMX has decided to let Nic Long out of his current contract with us to pursue other opportunities. Nic has been part of the Intense family for over 5 years, and we have enjoyed watching his riding and his career blossom while he was running our unique products.
It was a tough decision to let him go, as his contract with us ran through 2010, but we feel this is the best course of action for both our programs, and to let Nic pursue the opportunities and funding he now needs to get to the races he wants to attend.
We wish him the best of luck for the balance of the 2010 season and beyond.
Toby Henderson, CEO VSI Products/Intense BMX
I'm curious to the "recent events" that Toby is referring to? He couldn't be talking about a week and a half ago, when Nic won in New Mexico and finished second the next day? Maybe the USAC National Championship win was what it was? Regardless, Toby feels that it is time that Nic moves on to a better looking, lighter frame. What a nice guy. While he's switching his frame out, he can throw on our new prototype fork. It's a fully heat treated cromo fork that features a cnc machined drop out and steer tube with built in top cap and integrated bearing race. It happens to weigh 2 ounces less than the Sinz fork that Toby refers to, while ours has no rider weight limit for max safety. How's that for Unique? I'm not a dude for press releases as the Haro name speaks for itself, but here's my statement:
Allan Cooke and I are proud to welcome Nic Long to the Haro family.
