VDC advice..help a brother.... Options

Yes, I'm waiting on a buddy to get his new power coating booths set up so I can get done in white. I also got all the scans of the VDC stickers so i can have new ones made and I will have to go look up the name of the person I got them from. So for now it sits in my closet waiting to be built again one day.

Well its a nasty looking green right now from a spray can, not my doing. My buddy did that a long time back. I will try to get some pics of what I bought up soon. I will upload a few to photobucket and link them here. I will get to it when I can, right now I am slammed with classes and I have clinical rotations. Add that to my family duties and I dont have much free time to surf on the net.

Being in school has also kept me from doing anythig with the bike. One of the guys at our local bmx track is suppose to be getting set up to Powder coat larger items like frames. When he does I will try to get the frame to him for a new powder coat in white. I have all the scans to have VDC frame stickers made but again i just don't have the time to visit the place here local that can make the VDC stickers for me. They have done some other custom BMX frame stickers for a local rider.

Hey Im a Redline guy to the core but that is one sweet ride! Can't say i've ever seen a VDC before but i think i'm a fan. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Personally I would have built the VDC w/ what ever era correct brand name bars in chrome you have.

This VDC Sh*t is over rated .... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Just like early JMC it's very rare and unique but structurally leaves something to be desired.

For every 1 good condition VDC item I see I've seen 1 broken due to the design flaws. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

The stuff is way over priced all the time ... never have I seen a deal on this stuff.

But that's just my $.02 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Rob I would love to see all that Broken VDC stuff you talk about. I had one as a kid and a few friends did also. never had an issue with the design. I am sure some broke but so did everything else. so pics or I call BS.

It is going to the PC tomorrow for a fresh coat of white. It will still be a slow project but it will be well worth it in the end. I hope to some day get stickers made for it too but that will take more time than I have right now. One piece at a time.
