NBL OFFERS FREE MEMBERSHIPS FOR DISADVANTAGED AND AT-RISK YOUTH
Qualified youth under 18 will receive free NBL memberships
HILLIARD, OH (Jan. 19, 2010) — Any youth 18 and under whose family income is at or below the poverty level for their community, or who are in any State custodial care can access a membership in the NBL free of charge. Riders can provide a copy of the previous year's tax return or a copy of the custodial care from their State Family and Children’s Services Department for eligibility in the program. Track directors and operators can contact the NBL for assistance with locating the poverty level information for their community.
NBL CEO Gary Aragon says, "The NBL is more than BMX racing — it's about families and their communities, and this program is in keeping with that focus. As a foster parent, I understand some of the challenges at-risk youth face, and access to sports is one challenge the NBL can help overcome."
