Our family raced Belleville Indoor and Olney. My brother was sponsored by Roadmaster so we spent some time in Olney. Great park and nice track with a boatload of white squirrels.

Used to love Collinsville. I think I remember one time where someone said "Get Rad, Stu" and Stu Thomsen jumped the entire downhill at one of the WOS races there.

I'm trying to run some down now. From a sister n laws friends mother whose son raced there, one of those drawn out things but hope it works out.

When I was little in the early 80's we used to race NBL in southern IL every year. I think it was during Memorial Day weekend? It was a 3 day weekend race at 3 different locations. I will have to ask my parents. Mt Vernon was one of them because I dislocated my knee there. We were supposed to be leaving for a 2-3 week vacation right after the race. Ended up going to the hospital and getting an immobilizer brace put on. Nice way to start a vacation to California where there are beaches and so many things to do. Anyone remember what the other 2 were? I think maybe Charleston and Springfield. Anyone have pics or moto sheets or NBL newsletter with class break downs? I wish I could remember the guys in my class.

my buddy paul reitz drove me there and snapped this pic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) still have the bike and plate i think....i know i diden't do very well at this race...wizard visor/haro on the shirt...racing with a quickline #plate...lol
