Can I buy the originals, or something similar? I would like to restore it as close to possible with original stuff?

I cant even read a size on the tires also, anyone know what size they were (this is a 20" bike)

thanks

83/84? Are you looking for GT logo tires? When did those originally come out? 84?
84-86 those tires were made by Shinko of Japan. Later versions were made in Taiwan. Good luck finding original Shinko tires... they are impossible to find. What color? I saw a set of NOS black Taiwan tires just sell for $175. Keep an eye on the for sale forum here and on bmxmuseum.com, OS-BMX.com. Have you looked on ebay?

Excellent, those are them, had no idea what to look for, can you ride on old tires, should I do something to them before to treat them. I have some that are in ok shape, but wasnt sure after sitting there for 20 years they would be any good.

The tires have no size info on them, if I wanted to buy just regular old tires so I could ride on them and save these, how would I figure out what size/style to order?

thanks
Joel

If you want just regular old tires to ride on get 20x1.75. That will be the right size
