Okay, I am just getting this out first thing to get it started. Once I get in the office later this morning, I will post up the entire schedule and it should be on the website today. But there is one thing I wanted to get out as soon as I could, and that is, despite all the rumors to the contrary, the NBL will have a full blown, viable Pro series next year. Here is what you can expect for the Pro Series:
First Stop: The Christmas Classic. That is correct. The NBL is bringing the Elites BACK to the Christmas Classic. This coupled with the location in Louisville will certainly help bring the "magic" back to what is one of the marque events on the NBL schedule.
Other Elite stops include: Easter race in Florida, Nashville, Southpark, Woodbridge, Fresno and one other West coast (I will post it later this morning) plus the LCQ in Louisville. So don't believe the haters. The NBL is committed to moving forward with the Elites. In fact, Tim Dinger is coordinating a meeting with all the elite pros at the Christmas race to discuss how the NBL and the pros can work together to further enhance the Pro series and how the Pros can better "give back" to the kids at these elite events.
I will also post up the Big-A+ races when I get in the office this morning as well.
So I look forward to getting all of the schedule up when I get in the office. Thank you all for your patience. This will be the earliest the NBL has had the entire schedule published. So, progress is being made, and I am sure you will continue to see further progress down the road.

Dinger can save his meeting, all you have to do is PAY THEM, I remember seeing a picture of Donny Robinson holding up a Big Check at the ABA day of the Oldsmar national with a total of $1750.00, and when me and the kid raced in St. Cloud for the Easter Classic, Maris Stromberg is holding up a check for $750.00. $2000 difference for first place is a pretty big gap for a weekend. Especially since this is how some of these guys support themselves.
So I see that the NBL has 15 Pro races, 7 weekends and the LCQ, if a Pro sweeps the series he will pocket a cool $11, 250.00. He can pull the same amount by winning 7 ABA National, that only 4 weekends. I know the guys that are probably going to win these races have their expenses paid for, but look at the expenditure vs. return. This might be the reason the Pro’s do not show in the NBL.

That is actually promising news, but as has been the norm in the past what new rules can the Woodward riders look forward to that get released a few days before the race. Have you changed the points or shin guard rules, etc….? What about the number plate rules has that ever been clarified? Does a kid who wants to ride his expert national number have to run the yellow background? The plates we got at Louisville just added to the confusion. All I have seen on Vintage is rumor, nothing official from the NBL. What about a novice that moves up. Does he have to run N2 on an orange background running against the experts? Oh never mind, we can just complain to the trailer that he is not ready for expert and go after the novice title again.

I agree. More money will certainly be one of the items they want. But, this meeting is still important to begin the process of moving forward with a better series. Perhaps money will be the only idea, but we want to make sure we give them the opportunity to share other ideas that could enhance the series.

No change in points. Shin guards are already approved. The number plates were only different for the purpose of giving a different look at the Grands. It is NOT required to use the colored plates. A novice who moves up, if they run the national number should run the "N" in front.
The only rule change has to do with gate verification. So it has no impact to riders. The gate verifier at Nationals will be at the top of the hill and insure the riders are in the right gate.

Yes, thank you!
You are welcome. Still not where we want to be. But getting there, albeit slowly.

I'd love to know what the difference in prize money is in 2009 compared to 1979 or 1989, with the difference in inflation and cost of living, I'm guessing it's regressed somewhat? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Good job though James, thanks for getting things sorted quickly, gives me time to plan the yr and keep the wife happy in between (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

There will not be a pro section at the classic track. However, the amount of dirt and design plans will have it be a more challenging track than what you typically see at indoor venues. The floor the track will reside on limits the space to 4 standard width straights. But the straights can be plenty long. The "berm jump" has not been totally ruled out, but I believe it unlikely.

Sounds good.... Things are atleast moving in a better direction for sure, can not say if it is positive or not, but in a better one atleast.... I am waiting to see the dates and complete schedule, you must be in the office, so post it up..... When can the rest of the changes and all be out? What is the word on this "Manufacturing Division"? Keep us posted, as we small teams have to make plans way in advance to get the budget in line.....
