Peregrine didn't make one style of rim. Peregrine was actually a driving force behind alot of the mid-school thinking. Try posting pictures and giving a little more info than 36hole wheels. Without pictures, they are so rare, we can't even see 'em.

Asking how rare your new wheelset is (especially without models names/numbers or even a picture) is akin to asking for an enema after four days of pain. Everyone hopes you find "answers" but no one wants to help you with it.

There are only a few Peregrine wheels that'll be worth hanging onto for a non-riding build/investment.

Email them to me and I will see if I can post them up. I sent a PM with my email...

These are Peregrine Madd Max 20" rims/hubs/spokes. Heavy duty to say the least. This style of Peregrines are extremely rare. Only a few sets were made. They show up on eBay maybe once a year.

The next two pictures were my set of 24" 36h MADD MAX wheels (rims and hubs). These wheels used standard spokes. The whole MADD MAX line was indestructable. This set of wheels took me about a year to track down parts. I don't think the standard spoke Peregrine hubs and rims are as rare as the stuff posted above but they are harder to find as collectors seem to like this style more (parts, spokes in particular, are easier to find). In the first pic, you can see two small neon colored boxes that had MADD MAX brake lever and V Brakes. Sorry about the terrible lighting.

I guess I deleted my other Peregrine stuff but they also made a 20" wheel that had 10 composite spokes that attached to the hub/rim via rivets. I have only ever seen one set of those. They look somewhat like the six spoke Synergy MTB rims of the same era.

Hope that helps.

The only thing on the rims that I could see that would indicate model # is a sticker that says...

PEREGRINE

SD-20 JAPAN

Either way, they are in relatively good shape.
