Mongoose stamped kashimax seat, what bikes and year did they come out? Options

I ran across an old kashimax seat that had mongoose printed on the side, at a LBS yesterday and the owner and I were trying to remember when they came out. I thought they came out on gussetted team or supergooses but he thought it was later than that. I havent seen one in a looong time and he wouldnt come off of it for anything, and I offered just about everything for it. He said it was his when he was a kid and couldnt let it go.

I think it was supergooses around 1980 they came on. what do you goose experts say?

nevermind. Just looking through the old catalogues, they first appeared there in the 79-80 models. The one at the LBS was the vinyl version of the suede seats they came out with at that time.
