North Carolina track history, for those interested (southerners) Options

Does anyone remember the indoor track in Jamestown with the roll up door for the nice days? They would put that door up and there was more track outside. I remember racing all over NC....sometimes 2 or 3 tracks a day. King, Winston Salem(before Tanglewood), Greensboro, Jamestown(indoor, and outdoor), Burlington indoor, Burlington outdoor, Ashville, Hornets Nest, Raleigh, Forest City, Fayetteville, ETC.. If there was a track in NC I raced it. I started racing in '81 at Capital City Bmx. If you want to know NC bmx history ask my dad at a race. Homer has lived BMX in NC since the track in Raleigh started.

Greg Burrow went A pro for the 82 national at Hornets Nest, got wrecked in practice by guy from SC, tore knee up and couldn't race.

Last I heard he was living around Asheville area. He built a nice quarter pipe ramp back in early 90's, then started road riding.

Greg wouldn't ride anything but looptails...jmc, pk ripper, mongoose proclass. I won the '86 Asheville state race (16X) on his red PK.
