So coming for Lower Alabama where is the cheapest place to get gas - we have riders going to Lexington and Orlando - tell us where to stop in your area - If going through Dothan, Alabama Flying J on circle cheap

Gas has doubled in three years. The Government might need to step in and help us out. We are spending at least an extra 500-1000 a year on gas then we were 2 years ago. Plus higher gas prices make everything more expensisve. If you buy something it got delivered oon a truck at some point.

I use it all the time here at home cause I hate to pay higher than necessary gas prices. Right now in southern NJ we are running about 2.71-2.77 at the cheaper stations for regular.

Rocky Face Exit at Dalton, GA.. gas yesterday was 3.19 (cheapest in the area)

Exit 101, south GA, gas was 3.02 this morning

Exit 62 and 59, south GA.. gas was at 2.97

Exit 358..(Florida, on I75) around there.. not positive the number.. gas was 3.09

Man, this gas thing is crazy. Last weekend when we were on our way to Evansville, we got $2.95/gal at the Pilot at I-74 and US41. On the way back, $2.93 near Evansville. Then, topped it off at the same pilot we hit on the way down ($2.95). But NORTH of I-74, the prices jumped back to $3.20 and proceeded higher til we hit our hood outside Chicago, where it is $3.55. In the city, however, at the "Station of Last Resort" where I sometimes HAVE to get a gallon or two, it is still $4.09.

That is a 1.16 per gallon DIFFERENCE. The next gas station owner I hear say "We're not making any additional money off this crisis" is going to lose a kidney!

In Dothan, gas yesterday was 2.93. Diesel was 3.43

Gas in the Lexington/Columbia are is now at 2.99 and lower. There are some still at 3.09, but most are below 3. Typically, gas around the Augusta area in GA is a few cents cheaper than here. If you happen to be coming up from Florida, I hear gas around Georgetown and other near coastal areas in Southern South Carolina/Georgia is running in some places as low as 2.65.

Coming down I 77 from the north I usually find the cheapest prices in Rock Hill, SC. The 2-3 stations closest to the Lexington track seemed to be a bit higher than those farther away.
