It is all over the AP. Multiple papers are reporting it, so I'd say it is.
Sigh....

Really? Doping has killed road racing, another sport I love.
What did the most damage was everyone keeping quiet about it as the problem grew and grew. The "wink wink" crap will kill pro BMX too if we encourage it.
Dopers suck.

Clowns like him are what is going to get us lumped in w/ road cycling. Great wins can just get dismissed as "cheats" and nobody cares anymore. Kinda takes the glory out of it.

The best defense is the BMX community itself speaking up and not condoning it.

So that was just a UCI ban, not an NBL ban?

Just because someone wins a lot, has a big head does not mean they are on roids.

Kapes is disqualified from all competitive results since March 15

Nothing agains Kapes, He is young and made a big mistake. Hes gotta live with it.

My question is, if he is DQed from the testing date on, who is paying the differences in the money of the riders he took winnings from by placing ahead of them in sanctioned events?

I agree totally..DOPERS SUCK!! that said, Road racings not dead but it is on life support...I'm sure theres more of it going on then we know but if Kapes is/was doping this year and thats all the results he got I quess he was on the wrong stuff..as in Road Racing even if your a cheat you still need to train......Sad....
