Olympics - 1 Lap Semi's?, Supposed to be 3 laps. Options

Checking the times for the rescheduled races and I noticed something odd.

08/21 9:00pm Women's BMX Semifinals
08/21 9:08pm Men's BMX Semifinals
08/21 9:30pm Women's BMX Final
08/21 9:40pm Men's BMX Final
08/22 02:00am Women's Cross-Country

Looking at it before they rescheduled, they were supposed to run 3 semis 30 minutes apart and then the 1 lap main 30 minutes after the last semi. This was supposed to be for both the men and the women. From the times stated (which should be CDT) it looks like they will be doing 1 lap semis.

Conspericy theorists can discus if this is good or bad for us.

Should be 3 Semi's starting @ 9:00am Beijing time. Race should be over @ 10:40am (according to the "official" website).

That is if mother nature cooperates.

I'm sure the photochemical smog and particulate matter doen't help with that.

Hopefully they allow for a couple laps minimum in the semis!

so each semi runs 3 times? and they take the best score from all 3 semi runs ( top 4) then they go to the main?

yes they will race 3 semi's, total points, to one main. Just like how they ran the men's quarter semi's the other night.
