Thanks for the props on my GT Dave , Bottema forks will always make a good looking bike even better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) , I bought enough to fit onto every bike in Matt & my collection of "tuff bikes"
Technically they are Supercross forks , they cost me a small fortune to buy on Ebay & get shipped to Oz. Also note that Supercross Bottema's are made for a cruiser with a 5 inch headtube. I had to go to a _lot_ of trouble to find someone who could cut them down & then properly cut the extra thread into the bare forks headtube to make them fit a 4inch headtube , but when fitting Bottema's to any bike they were not actually made to fit onto the effort is well worth it.....

Nice looking OM Flyer , here's the man himself bitd doing some trials riding in 1980...

(IMG:http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c230/J1B/Action%20Now/OMtrials1980sm.jpg)

Alloy headset too...

I had to settle for a 20inch version (with Bottemas) of Scott's uber cool 26/24 race cruiser
haulin' below

You can't leave out Jeff's cruiser either , the Kos Cruiser , straight out of the box was the most "rider friendly" 26inch BMX Cruiser I built up & took for a test ride when I worked in the bike shop after skool , great for wheelstands.

Cruiser racing here was either Junior or Senior , from memory the junior cutoff age was 12
so I had to race against the "big" guys , unfortunately I never got to race cruisers against these guys when they were visiting down here. Racing the big guys at Metro West on a normal Friday night was scary enough , I was usually the monkey on a sidehack whenever the US guys were racing in big events there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

(IMG:http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c230/J1B/Action%20Now/JimPrattRacecruisers.jpg)

More balls than brains here , kudos to him tho. I never even thought about pushing my luck on a cruiser in a skatepark , a 20 inch BMX was wild enough

Introducing the all new 1980 cruiser lineup....

I got some more pix hidden around here somewhere , I think....hope you all enjoy these ones I dragged up.

Excellent shot of Scot trails riding.

You notice KOS talking to Pat Sajak? In 1980, KOS had Wheels of Fortune.

Great scans JB- Thanks. WTF on the seat on the KOS? Was that for Jeff's Grandpa?

High School Year Book shot - 99% never had date if you take your grad shot in your BMX uniform. The guy probably started Google or bought MSFT pre IPO however.
