I've had the opportunity to spend time in Chula Vista back in late Sept and mid December with the Red Bull athletes. I didn't document those trips as they were uneventful. This time around it was. I wanted to share the latest coaching experience I had of the recent January camp with resident BMX athletes.

OTC Jan Report

Enjoy,
Greg R.

Apparently all the designers at Nike had was a 1985 Haro catalog to copy from. I expected more from a company that is supposed to be the leader of the sports apparel biz. Other than that looks nice.

Ha! That's exactly what I was telling Day...I had the exact pair in 1985 when I was 12! Apparently Bob Haro is back. I hear Oakley has hired him to do some work for them as well. I think the uniforms are sick.

Bob designed those? He's been designing the Moose stuff for Parts Unlimited for 5 or 6 years at least, can't believe he went and recycled something. Some of the Moose stuff has been pretty cool, it's geared toward off road as opposed to MX so he's probably been somewhat limited in what he can do. Maybe they can rock some 1979 bubble visors and some neon Motivs shorts.

I don't know if Bob designed those. Regardless, those uniforms are the best USA anything BMX uniformed yet and it would certainly be honor to don them. After all, this is VintageBMX.com right? How appropriate to post it here!

CoachG, is there any way you could uncover the text under the pictures? Not sure if I'm missing any juicy tidbits there or not.

The jerseys might be funny looking (like something my Mom would have ironed on the back, what is that?)

But..

They will be looking sweet with Gold, Silver and Bronze draped over them!

Nice looking facility, really World Class, huh?

Thanks for the report Greg. As someone noted above if you can move the pictures so they aren't covering some of the text that would be great.

On your report you left off Arielle Martin. She's still there isn't she?
