cruiser Slams. why they too small? Options

hey there. Some weeks ago i bought a 24" Slam bar to replace the bar on my General Lee, cos at 5" they were too small and the slams are a nice 5 3/4".

But they're not. BOTH bars measured 147mm from top of bars to centre of clamp area( i put bars face down on the floor with grip sections against the wall and measured from wall to centre)So i i've sent them back. Shop says they are the correct bars.Which means i'm stuck for 5 3/4" bars.

If somebody reading this can confirm that these slam bars exist (and i just had a 'weird' set) i'd appreciate it! If measuring like i wrote above, your Slams should be about 170mm.

And again, the 5 3/4" Slams were exactly the same height as my 5"DK's

s&m makes 5 3/4 and 5 inch rise. if you look at their site one says slam and one says race, but seems like ive seen them both say slam on them. look at the pic on their website, are yours layed out like the 5 inch ones, or more up rite. I went down i measured mine and they are clearly 5 3/4. mine are older i think and say "24" bar" on cross bar.

I have had both sizes (by mistake). Bought a pair that said 24" Race on the cross bar and they were the small ones. Gave them to my brother and bought a set that said "Slam Bar" or something like that and they were the taller ones.

mine say "cruiserslam" in KISS style letters. 5.75" x 28"

Mine say 5.75" RACE on the cross bar. I measured and they really are 5.75"

same as craig says, the sticker says 5.75, and they measure the same.

The bar was like the Slam pictured on their website,that has tighter radius bends than the smaller Race bar.

Also, both bars are 1/4" smaller than another bar i have. A Radix power bar, that was listed as 5 1/4" rise and so it is.

From top to centre is 153mm.From top to start of bend at grip section is 20mm. Subtract 20 from 153 and you have 133mm.5 1/4"

This is how i measured the DK and Slam also.
The dk's are listed as 5" (on the General Lee spec sheet) and so they are.

If the whole U.K. supply of Slams are like this, i don't want to mail order them to find out.!
