I posted in the other thread that I was going to take some today at the local race. Still plan on doing so.

The pics today won't be exactly what you see this next weekend. They are going to widen the rythm section this week and do some work on the second turn. But it will give you the general idea.

They worked on the track a lot this past week, some of the jumps are built back up and some of them have much peakier lips on them.

Here are a couple of pics. I took some others but they were crappy.

This first one is standing at the top of the first turn looking toward the start gate. You can see the backside of the first step-up after the start and the doubles leading into the first turn:

Next is a shot taken from the same spot, showing the second straight, the second turn, and the third straight. If you look closely, you will see a chalk line to the right of the rythm section. That section is getting widened to the line so the rythm section can hold more than two riders abreast:

Last shot shows the last turn and the last straight. That's a small step jump after the turn to a slightly uphill finish:

Is it really short length track? Whats up with the first turn. Are there any jumps or a berm there. Looks like a long sweeping turn with no bank. Lots of peddling.

Herb,
its long sweeping turn, though there is slight bank.
And it is a short track.

It is long and sweeping, and the photos don't really do the banking any justice. It is fairly banked, and provided that it is smooth and in good shape, it is very fast.
