Hey 1981 pages. 1981 was a very fine year for BMX and the year I got rid of my heavy as sh!te dual shock and built a real BMX.

yep it's four.

the survivor now has a set of GB forks but I have kept the ashtabulas

the fourth is the only G boy known with a GB stamp rather than the year stamp.

it is going to be gold.

the last gold one I had was traded for the 10 hole.

the 10 and the GB are being built at the moment actually I have been doing the gold one for as long as you've been doing your DB

Christian - you got me motivated to mock-up another 70s build...
May not be as exotic as the G-boy....but its a monoshock & a bit of Aussie history - the Repco Monoshock.....boing boing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Also, does anyone know what factory colours the frames came out in?

thanks for the comments guys, I found it very hard to be the first person to use the forks. They are officially no longer NOS. I almost got some old redline forks instead. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

done now though...I need a drink.


Christian have you riden on the forks yet? if not they are still NOS.

And that is such a tough looking bike. I want it!
