#72 is Keith Townsend from VA. I have no idea who #7 is, or even the Hutch guy behind Veicht.

Dogan "SHOT FROM GUNS" Gunnesever took 16x.

Rocky Rice was from Laytonsville?!? That was like 3 miles from our house, and we never even knew it!

Apparently he's still racing!
Rocky Rice and Kent Gordy in 35 & over novice main at 2006 NBL Grand National

Dogan "Shot From Guns" Gunnesever of northern VA is on Facebook (as well as Dennis and Walter). His old Redline from BITD is completely preserved.

Great thread with some amazing picturs. I saw my first BMX race at Rockville in October 1984. Started racing in April 1985 at Lake Fairfax in Reston, VA. I'm positive that Dayrit's 13X World Championship was 1985. There's a picture of him in the BMX Plus! issue that covered the race. He's not named in the picture but it's him and you can clearly see him leading Robert Swick (and everyone else) in the first turn. I raced Rockville in 86 and 87...Danny Nash, Anthony Tucker and a younger Brian Gagnon. I think Anthony Tucker's Mom was the track operator at that time. Chris Tinker was still racing at that time but Spike had switched over to freestyle. I see Joe Baumert's name from one of the Howard County results. I saw Joe about 5 years ago out here in Denver.

Id guess the Hutch rider behind Roland is Greg Ziska as I think him and Greg Bantum were the only local Hutch Pros.
What team are the Virginia guys racing for in that picture with the Pac Man logo?
