Also found Paul Washington on face book.

WOW!!! That is Matt alright. This must have been when he was @ 13-14ish. I tracked down his cousin in NYC, and he said Matt is somewhere down South.

I can't believe you actually have a picture of him. Too cool.

Hey Gary,
Welcome aboard. Your name still strikes fear in me. Not sure if you remember me or not. My name is James Gaglione, my bro Ed and I used race Bellmore from 81 to 88. You were a year or two older, but I had to race you from time to time in open or when I didn't have a class. I used to race with Mike Mills every week, I saw him a few years ago in a bar. I told a story about you beating Tom Christopher on another thread.
JG

do you know a guy named Frank Sorrentino. he is a friend of mine and said he raced with you,

Where are all the riders from the Bellmore track at?

What's up Gary? I know your posting is a few years back but maybe you still check this. Would love to catch up.

I raced with you guys as well every week and sometimes against based on when my age changed mid season. I always looked forward to Gary going up an age bracket.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Well, well, well,

It's really great to find a site that may put me in touch with some 'Bellmore' BMX Track riders!!!
When I found that place I was riding a Schwinn Scrambler "36-36" with 46 x 16 gearing that must
have been about 30lbs at least. Coster brake and all the OEM astabula parts (fork, stem, crank)
I was up against Paul Washington, Dave Masterson, Bob Carter, Phil Phinkle, Steve Perry and so
many others I cant recall any longer...(1978-1987) I joined the ARMY the following year! 20 + years
service to Uncle Sam and I made my way BACK to NY and work on FT Hamilton in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
I hope to get some contact information from anyone reading my post...
I will pull out my box of photos and get started on posting them for all to see!
