Best Jumper of all time? Options

The jump that scared ME the most (and I was only the photographer) was this one. I remember viewing it through my Nikon and going over in my mind first-aid proceedures for broken bones and thinking, "I don't think he's gonna land this thing."

Old School, I'd vote for Building-Leapin' Donny Jones. In retrospect, I think Jones was all the more impressive because he was very early in the evolution of radical jumping.

P.S. Here is an additional thought: It seems to me that maybe there should be several classifications. Like longest Bunny Hop (Buff?), longest jump with a take-off jump or ramp (Pratt?), most stylish (Leary? Miranda?), and so on...

I was looking through many old issues of BMXA last night and I found many great jumpers: Judge, Stu, Crews, Miranda even RL and Buff. I find it hard to separate and granulize them. I was awed by them all. I also found that pic of Buff or RL (can't remember) jumping over the Toyota 4x4 lifted and with a light kit!!!

LOL wow those BMXA covers are part of what made BMX the incredible passion it was for many of us. Snap came closest to that kind of quality. But Super BMX had the best covers and Bicycles and Dirt had the best logo.
(laughing to myself).

Oz btw I had three letters printed in Dear Wiz, anyone ever see who had the most? If not do I get the Dear Wiz Cup?

In one letter my first I signed it "Keystone Kid", It asked about more East Coast coverage and Sal Zuener (My Favorite Pro). He got on the cover the issue it was printed I think my second letter was a subliminally erotic poem lol signed with both Keystone and my real name. I cant recall the poem verbatim but it had something in it to the effect. 'I pumped and pumped as hard as I could, Nervously I leaned into the first turn, expecting the worst, and suddenly to my suprise emerged first...' The last one I just used my real name.

Hey...I remember the Keystone Kid. And I remember that poem. If you have any idea which issue it was in, I'll try to scan it and post it.

Deric Garcia was the raddest of the little guys. First npticed at the (either) 81' or 82' ABA Grands clearing the triples that most were bailing on. I hung out with his cousin tonight.

I always wanted to see Buildin' Leapin' Jones and Trash Can Morgan in person.
Waaaay too rad.

I remember seeing Ronnie Anderson tabletop the last jump at Rancho when he was on Panda. Years later saw him lead a pro main (Vegas Gold Cup) and jump from the jump out of turn one and land in turn two. Just for the show of it.

Effortless, absolutely awesome.
I'm not overstepping here..... if you never saw Chasain jump, YOU REALLY MISSED OUT.
