I was a regular at the Bellevue Bike Gallery in the late 1970s. It was absolute magic walking into that place. As you walked in, the left and right side of the shop was filled with assembled DGs, Mongoose, Webcos and a few others. I remember two assembled team geese - one candy red and one candy blue.
There were Cook Bros components in the display case, thick rows of frames hanging from the ceilings, and loads of bars to the right of the cash register.
I bought my gold Race Inc frame there. I bought my red GJS frame there. Mike and Bob knew me by name, and always helped me out with selecting and installing components. They had just about everything in that shop.
66alfa_gtv, I think you are referring to the "The Bike Factory" not "The Bike Gallery". It was The Bike Factory that we had in Bellevue and Lynnwood, Washington.
