Thanks guys.

Yeah, it seems like the kids like the OS look. I had an 8-year old asking me all sorts of questions. He was helping me find my way around the pits, too. Nice kid. Other kids were really into it, too. And, of course, some of the dads.

Dude just for being able to get into that old uni you deserve (IMG:style_emoticons/default/good2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drinks.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/good2.gif)

Other than Stu and EK, I'd bet you are the only other old guy around here that can pull that off!

Size 32 leathers & a Small jersey. . .yeah baby. A Medium jersey would be a little better, to be honest.

Thanks guys for all the nice comments. Much appreciated.

congrats man.

My first race back after 22 years I was matched up with 9 and 10 year old cruiser class. None of the old d00ds brought their cruiser that night :/

That's awesome! The kids at my track are always stoking on my old school rides - not necessarily my old school threads though.

PlanetX,
Glad to see you made it back out with a bike. Hopefully I'll be back soon, and we can all blast around. Seeing as Greg should have his new ride done soon.

Did I see that right? First race back, on an OS bike, in the 17-18x class...and you beat one! Hey, even if it was just one race, you looked good. Great job!!

Cool!!! I watched it 5 times. You even had the old school helmet thing going on. Love the look of back in the day. You did a great job there. And a good quality vid to boot.

Don't ever show up at our old school reunion and run like that. You might smear us all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Thanks guys.

I beat the same kid every moto, except the one where I dabbed twice. I blew my second moto bad. I still almost beat him though. Got hit by inches to transfer to the main. I got KILLED in the main, though, when the kids got serious.

I went back on Friday to race and my BB fell apart during practice. I didn't have what I needed to fix it. I'll back soon.

Helmet is a real 1970s Electro I repainted in Torker colors. Jersey is homemade. So is the "Haro" Type 2 plate. Leathers are the real deal--NOS Maxes.

Here's a pic taken by Greg/Huntin4BMX on race night.

This is from Friday practice just before I discovered my BB was loose.

And this is my first prototype, handmade, Haro plate copy with temporary ABA number.
